Progress Report - Week 4 - ending Sunday 18th February 2024

Achievements during the week

Final levels for steel upright seating checked and adjusted as necessary
Steel Uprights of original structure drilled where required to enable floor support steel beams will be attached.
Steel beams delivered to site by supplier
Steel grid fully installed
First floor beams lifted into place and secured
First batch of floor sheeting lifted and moved into place ready to be secured

Bolt holes drilled in steel frame of original building

Specialist equipment and personnel required to drill the holes in the barn steel framework.

The new steel will be bolted to the original steel framework.

First steel beams are in place.

Preparation is everything and the steel grid was erected in a single day.

First floor beams lifted into place

Once the new steel grid had been formed a start could be made installing the floor beams.

First batch of floor boards lifted

With the first set of floor beams in place the floor board sheets could be lifted for fitting.
