With regret we have to confirm the CANCELLATION the 2018 Exhibition.

The weather has deteriorated significantly in south Warwickshire this evening and the forecast has now changed with the Amber warning zone extending in our direction.

Just after 20:15 this evening I was informed by the College Estates team that the Leamington site would be closed tomorrow and therefore it would not be possible to build the show.

4mm Protofour 18.83mm gauge layout. Cromford & High Peak Railway. 1950s-1960s.

 4mm/ft scale, OO gauge Finescale

Ian Owen's 4mm Finescale layout is set in the Carlisle area in the mid 1980s.

N gauge, 1:160, 9mm Continental Pyrenees, NE SPain, present day.

7mm O gauge layout set in the 1930s in Southwest Wales

Set in South Wales, Aber Emlyn (Welsh for mouth of the Emlyn) forms the terminus of a short branch line connected to the main railway network by a triangular junction. Considerable coal traffic is generated by the colliery located just off the area modelled and there are regular branch and secondary passenger services. A freight train puts in an appearance occasionally.

Aber Emlyn is largely the work of six members of the Great Yarmouth Model Railway Club, who are also members of Norfolk Mardlers. Assistance and support has been provided by other Club members. The layout has been rebuilt and extended from its original form and is being continually developed.

Constructed to O Gauge finescale standards, the track is in individual 44ft 6in lengths and employs C & L and Exactoscale track parts with GW 2 bolt chairs. All main points have been made to B6, B7 templates using lime sleeper strip and are controlled by slow action point motors or servos. Dummy point locks have been added.

Buildings are mostly representations of actual structures. This applies to the engine shed (Cowbridge), double track GW goods shed (Ross-on-Wye), the houses on an incline (GW), the pub by the canal (Gwent) and several huts. The station building has recently been remodelled using a combination of prototype features. The signals are fully operational as are the ground signals.

The baseboard with the canal and tunnel mouth includes a narrow gauge feeder line and enhanced scenery. Fine detailing is currently taking place. On the visible part of the layout most recently an extension has been added at the terminus end to include part of the town which the station serves. The fiddle yard section is brand new and replaced the original one which had fixed tracks, a flexible entrance track and a turntable.

Locomotives and rolling stock are a mixture of kit and scratchbuilt and are representative of 1930s.. A sequenced timetable is in operation and lasts for about one and a half hours

We run a combination of auto trains/railcars, local passenger, and through passenger trains, local goods trains, and coal trains which arrive empty and return fully loaded.

Our operators are happy to answer any questions and we hope you enjoy watching the results of all our efforts.

Welcome
·  Who am I?

I'm Nick - for over twenty years now I have been trading under the name Nick Tozer Railway Books. As a collector and enthusiast myself (before taking early retirement I spent thirty years in the footplate grades on British Rail) I have a good understanding of what has been published on the subject and how useful as a reference tool any particular title is - I enjoy searching for those elusive titles and if you ask me to conduct a search you may rest assured that when I find a copy it will be at a price that I believe reflects the true value of the item.

The Kitmaster Collectors Club was formed in 1990 by a small group of enthusiasts to document the history of Kitmaster models and also to help and encourage the collecting of them.

It is a non-commercial organisation which aims to link collectors together for the exchange of archive material, advice & information. Funds generated through kit sales are used for the day-to-day running of the club, to expand and research the Kitmaster archive, to prepare and distribute promotional material and to secure important kit collections for the club when these come on to the market. Members receive first refusal on all kits in club stock through the regular sales list. The club also provides an exclusive forum for the buying, selling or swapping of the kits. The club has over one hundred and fifty members worldwide and many associates.

Modelex was formed in 1986.With a background of industrial electronics and a lifelong interest in model railways it was inevitable that electronics would would form a large part of our product range. To this end a range of controllers and automatic modules was created.Over the years this range has increased, the original design parameters being maintained ie Reliability,Power and Performance. Many other product ranges, electronic components, tools, materials etc etc have been added. In 1987 we attended our first exhibition which led to an extensive exhibition portfolio, with venues around the country, stretching from Newcastle to Cornwall. We hope that you find something of interest on our website.

Introduction: London Road Models NE Class O/G5 locomotive kit. - Photograph courtesy Steamline SheffieldSerious about your modelling?

……….We are.

London Road Models has been designing and manufacturing 4mm etched kits since 1988, when John Redrup produced some etched L&NWR 50′ non corridor carriage kits for the P4 exhibition layout London Road, to provide some much needed stock.

Since then, LRM has grown to provide one of the largest ranges of etched kits available to the 4mm modeller. The emphasis is on the pre-grouping period up to 1923, although the prototypes for many of the models in the range lasted into the post-grouping era of the 1930’s, with a significant number surviving into BR ownership.

Welcome to JB's Model World, we are focused on  providing cost effective products for the safe storage and transportation of your Model Railway Rolling Stock. We have a variety of products to choose from.
