The railway operates trains hauled by a range of preserved steam and diesel locomotives between Toddington and Cheltenham Race Course stations. The choice of a railway as it is now provides the Juniors with opportunities to visit the railway, to research it in detail and to get a feel for the life of the railway. The layout, which is on three 1.2 m by 0.6 m (4 ft by 2 ft) boards, is making an excellent introduction to modelling.
