The Junior Layout is of Toddington Station on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway as it is now. The railway operates trains hauled by a range of preserved steam and diesel locomotives between Toddington and Cheltenham Race Course stations. The choice of a railway as it is now provides the Juniors with opportunities to visit the railway, to research it in detail and to get a feel for the life of the railway.

The layout, which is on three 1.2 m by 0.6 m (4 ft by 2 ft) boards, is making an excellent introduction to modelling. The photos show the excellent progress with construction work on the north board, which models the road bridge, the north point, enough track to the north for locomotives to run round trains in the station, the platforms as far as the footbridge, the station master's house and the garden centre car park.
