UKTrainSim promotes an interest in railways through the medium of Virtual Railway simulations. Much the same skills are required to build a virtual railway as are needed to build a real or model railway. We demonstrate typical UK based routes, locos and rolling stock, but do occasionally demonstrate others from further afield; Europe and USA. Please feel free to discuss anything railway related with our demonstrators as a number of our crew are also railway modellers.

There's still a lot of confusion about DCC and what it can and can't do, what the benefits and pitfalls are and so forth. With DCC becoming more and more mainstream this confusion is only going to spread further and our aim is to try and clear some of the mist, as well as provide a place for people tocome and ask questions and find out if DCC is going to be right for them. As part of our demonstration we'd like to talk to people about all the different systems that are available, and what their choices are, compatibility between systems, computer control and so forth. There's a lot to choose from and that selection is rapidly growing.
