Ambergate - EM / P4
Written by Nick Meredith (Administrator)

An article in issue No. 202 of Model Railway Journal tells the tale of the sale of Ambergate by David Burton to Tony Montgomery in August 2008. and subsequent developments to the model.

The key change is that it has been re-gauged to P4 from EM by adjusting the soldering of the rail to the rivets.

Plans now are to move the layout forward to the mid 1930s. This will require the south end junction to be rebuilt, with a second bridge over the Derwent, and a great deal of repainting and weathering, as well as the provision of some upper-quadrant signals.
