Ambergate - EM / P4Midland Railway layout set in period 1876 to 1910 and exhibited at many shows. Ambergate:- Gateway to the Amber Valley is situated approximately 10 miles north of Derby and was a major junction on the Midland system, completed in 1873, which served Derby to Manchester trains to the north-west, trains to Matlock and Buxton also ran via the north curve and the Butterly line into the East Midlands. The layout was sold some years ago, but still exists, and is being developed further.
