Home Exhibition Layouts East Isley - EM
East Isley - EM

East Ilsley is a fictitious Branch line which was proposed in 1873 as part of the Didcot Newbury Southampton line but was never built.
The layout depicts “what might have been” on this busy Branch line terminus in the early1930 to the close in 1962 had it been absorbed by the G.W.R. The area was known for its sheep farming and horse racing stables. The line operates on Single-Engine-in-steam, controlled from Compton by Train Staff. A ground frame signal box controls the goods yard.
