Littleton Parkway - OO

Littleton Junction is set on the Wolverhampton to Crewe main line in the NW Midlands, south of Stafford.

The line has not been electrified due to budget restraints in the 1960's and 1970's and it is still awaiting its turn for modernisation even in its present 1996-2002 time setting.

The station was closed but then reopened in the 1970's being renamed Littleton Parkway - the new name acknowledging the changed passenger traffic arising. The branch to Stoke is busy again and mainline trains - certainly the diesel units - call regularly. Not all such trains are met by connecting services! Some freight trains also use the branch as a way through the congested Midlands mainline routes.
